Hello World, I'm Matt!

I've been working in the tech industry at an MSP for over ten years at this point.

At work I'm occupied with a wide range of technologies, from Microsoft Windows Servers and Endpoints with Active Directory, to Networking, Firewalling, Citrix, Virtualisation and Physical Infrastructure in both Private Cloud and On Premises environments.

I also spend a significant amount of time working with monitoring and automation via RMM tooling, Powershell and Python.

In my own time, I have a homelab in which I dabble with various technologies, both for the purposes of learning as well as to host various tools and services for my own needs.

I would describe myself as being a Linux fanboy enthusiast, having used it heavily since the age of 12, and in my homelab make heavy use of Proxmox VE, the ZFS filesystem and LXC containers for my own projects.

Outside of tech I dabble in a wide range of hobbies and some of these may appear in this blog from time to time.
